The "mad scientist theme" in Gilmore Girls is most prominently featured in the context of a conversation between Lorelai and Luke regarding a gruesome, mock-Halloween decoration idea.

​Details of the Mad Scientist Theme:

​The Idea: Lorelai, feeling melancholy and depressed over her separation from Rory, attempts to cheer herself up (and get Luke involved in her quirky Halloween traditions) by suggesting an elaborate, gory scenario for their Halloween decorations.

​The Scene: She proposes that she would be a "mad scientist" and Luke would be the poor subject on her operating table. She describes the scene in detail, including "pulling link sausages" out of him as intestines while wearing a bloody outfit.

​The Resolution: Luke, who is famously not a fan of theatrics or excessive decorating, initially refuses. However, seeing how upset Lorelai is, he later relents and tells her, "You can pull link sausages from me if you want."

It's hand dyed using Acid dyes.

Every effort has been made to ensure all dye has been rinsed but please note that some may remain and may cause bleeding. I always suggest hand wash only.
