Life Beyond the Walls
A fundraising event inspired by a lived experience that I have never spoken about until recently. 
Life Beyond the Walls is a very personal fundraising event*, created from my own experience of coercive control (CC), domestic abuse (DA) and Post separation abuse (PSA).
For a long time, my world became smaller. Coercive control can be difficult to explain because the walls aren't always visible. They can be built from fear, manipulation, isolation, criticism, control and the gradual loss of confidence and independence. From the outside, everything can appear perfectly normal, while inside, life feels very different.
This project is about what comes after those walls begin to come down.
It is about finding yourself again. About rediscovering the things that bring you joy, curiosity and freedom. About books, creativity, making, quiet mornings, travelling, learning, friendship and having the courage to imagine a life that belongs to you.
Life Beyond the Walls is my way of turning something painful into something meaningful.
Through this fundraising event*, I hope to raise both funds and awareness for those affected by coercive control,  domestic abuse and post separation abuse, while reminding anyone who may be living through it that there is a life beyond the walls.
A life where you can breathe.
A life where you can make your own choices.
A life where you can dream again.
A life that is yours.
I have created this project with love, honesty and hope, drawing on my own journey and the things that helped me find pieces of myself again.

All yarns are hand dyed using acid dyes. The yarn is thoroughly rinsed but some residue may remain.

Hand wash in cool water only.
