🎄 Origin & Tradition
The "12 Days of Christmas" originally referred to the festive period beginning on Christmas Day (25 December) and ending on Twelfth Night (5 January). In medieval and Tudor England, this was a time of feasting, music, and merrymaking, with no work allowed—yes, even spinning wheels were decorated to prevent use.
🎶 The Song
The famous carol, first published in the late 1700s, is a cumulative song—each verse builds on the last, listing increasingly extravagant gifts from a "true love":
Each gift is symbolic, and interpretations vary—from religious allegory to playful courtship. Either way, it’s a delightful countdown filled with birds, music, and a whole lot of dancing.

Every effort has been made to ensure all dye has been rinsed but please note that some may remain and may cause bleeding. I always suggest handwash only.
